"Hurricane prevented us from getting there manager charged anyway!"

When our electric and water went out due to Hurricane Ian, we called. Manager assured us that the hotel was open and had electricity and was accessible. We drove about 90 minutes over tons of downed trees and no gas stations open. Due to flooding, we could NOT get there. We called again to let them know we couldn't make it and were cancelling. Now we were told there was flooding at the hotel also. We couldn't get through the flooding. We didn't have enough gas to continue to try. We called again and told them we couldn't get there. The manager said he was charging us anyway and gave us analogies of planes not taking off and still being charged. We are hurricane victims and he charged us anyway! We are disputing with our credit card. There is a special place somewhere for the horrible man called the manager.

The hotel is very old, but the rooms were clean. However, the amenities were too minimal. Not enough soap provided, towels are too thin, sink was rusted and handles pitted. Should be replaced. Also faucet had a slow drip. Waste of water. Pool area looked very nice, but no time to take advantage. Staff was very nice.
